Kew Wind Orchestra
The multi award-winning Kew Wind Orchestra is one of Britain's top amateur wind orchestras.
Formed in 1984, KWO is renowned for its popular and challenging repertoire of symphonic, classical and jazz music.
In recent years, the band is proud to have won a succession of gold awards at the National Concert Band finals, commissioned a number of world premieres and performed with leading West End singers.
It has played in top venues around the country and has been invited to perform at events in Europe and Asia.
With over 40 members, KWO enjoys a thriving diary of concerts, foreign tours and social events. The band, which rehearses every Thursday night in Richmond, is always on the look out for talented and committed new players.
World famous trumpeter John Wallace OBE has said of KWO: "Now that's what I call a band!"
